As we all know “The Oprah Winfrey Show” is preparing to end for good next year (long blank stare.) As such the TV host’s longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham decided to throw in his two cents on Saturday about the lack of props she’s been given in her home base of Chicago.
“I really don’t think they appreciate her. I don’t think they understand the value of who she is as a human being and what she’s done,” Graham said of Chicagoans in an interview with WFLD-Channel 32 news. I’m just saying from an insider’s point of view that I don’t think she gets her just due based on who she really is and what she’s done for the Chicagoland area. It’s home for her, and it’s just natural for people to kind of take her for granted — until you leave,” Graham said. “A prophet has no honor in its own town,” he said.
Wow I’m just a little confused because what exactly does he require of the people of Chicago. I mean should Oprah receive the key to the city every Friday. Perhaps she should have a monument built towering over the windy city or what if she received her very own holiday would this meet with Stedman’s approval? Give me a break! Oprah is hole hearted loved, admired, and respected through out this land and beyond she’s dang near a national treasure already so I’m sorry Mr. Graham is I don’t share your grief.
