The Triangle Chapter of the American Red Cross sent three emergency response trucks and six volunteers to Tennessee to help aid in the relief effort after a two-day storm left thousands of residents displaced and several dead. The American Red Cross responds to more than 69,000 disasters every year in the United States. Red Cross officials say they are always in need of volunteers.
