April 15 – Women’s Health Awareness 2023 Conference at North Carolina Central University, 8am-5pm

The Durham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the National Institutes of Health and NC Central University, invite you to attend the Women’s Health Awareness 2023 Conference on Saturday, April 15 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m at the NCCU Mary Townes Science Building 1900 Concord St. Durham, NC. This FREE event provides attendees with health screenings, education sessions, healthy living sessions and resources.

Register early for a courtesy lunch sponsored by Duke University Hospital. Early registration ends March 15, 2023. On-site registration IS AVAILABLE on the day of the event.

May 20 – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated – Johnston County Alumnae Chapter’s 11th Annual 5K Run & Walk at Municipal Park in Clayton, 7am

The Johnston County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. would like our Health Event posted that will be happening on May 20, 2023. On May 20, 2023, our chapter will be hosting the 11th Annual 5K Run & Walk “Taking Strides for Mental Health Awareness.” Along with the 5K event, we are doing our 2nd Annual Improve your Health & Build Your Wealth Fair and a Blood Drive. This event is a fundraiser to support scholarships for high school seniors and community service programs benefiting Johnston County. This year a portion of proceeds will benefit the House of Hope of North Carolina. This organization is a Christian therapeutic school, home, and counseling center for teenage girls 12-17 and their families that provide mental health services in Clayton, NC.

This event will be held at Municipal Park 325 McCullers Street Clayton, NC 27520.
