Serena tells CNN that she knows that every competitor will be gunning for her top spot in the French Open and she is “ready for anyone.”
The world No. 1 triumphed in Paris last year as part of a run which has seen her win four of the last six grand slams, and despite suffering a shock defeat to Angelique Kerber at the Australian Open she is the strong favorite as the tennis world heads to Roland Garros.
Serena tells CNN, “You do want to play the No. 1 — you do want to beat them,” … “I know I did — but I am ready for that. I am ready for anyone every time.”
