Owens a 20 year television veteran started his career in 1993, as a reporter trainee at WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C. and began working at WRAL TV-5 in 2002.
Today Owens recapped the domestic situation in Fayetteville that lead to the death of a teenager, the latest on the Government shut down, sports update with what happened over the weekend with the Hurricanes and Panthers.
This evening WRAL TV-5 will do a follow up story on the Raleigh man who terrorized the community with a string of armed robberies
