The Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant remains shutdown Friday after cracks were found in one of the reactors. A public meeting scheduled to take place Monday in Holly Springs will review the plant’s safety record for last year. The meeting was scheduled before Thursday’s announcement that the entire plant had to be shut down due to a flaw in one of 65 reactor vessel heads. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says no radioactive material leaked from the plant and the public is not in danger.
