Lawmakers overturned an effort to demand that Republican Presidential hopful Rick Perry apologize for the name n*erhead on hunting camp he once leased.

A topic that has spurred many heated debates like the one on “The View” between Sherry Shephard, Barbara Walter and Whoppi Goldberg… the use of the N Word…. and now a presidential candidate has been linked to allowing it.

Representative Jesse Jackdon Jr. sumbitted the five-page resolution that called on Perry, the Texas governor, to apologize for not immediately removing the rock and for taking people there to hunt.

Perry has said the name is offensive. He said that after he saw it, in 1983 or 1984, the word was painted over.

The House voted 231-173 against taking up the measure.
