Reports are not stating that Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters is the latest star to join the cast of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab.” The 59-year-old singer has struggled with drug abuse through much of her life. After starting her professional career with her sisters June, Anita and Ruth as the Pointer Sisters, Bonnie left the group in the 70s to launch a solo career. Spanning over three decades, their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock. Hopefully Bonnie will find a firm source of strength to reach her goals of becoming clean.
