You will soon be able move through Raleigh and surrounding areas connected to I-540 a little quicker. The State DOT says it will increase the speed limit to 70mph between Hwy 70 and U.S. Highway 64/264 within the next week. The decision was based on a review of current speeds, crash data and road characteristics.
