The Barna Group Christian research firm revealed that different generations of Americans read and interpret the Bible in different ways.  Through research from 2006 and 2009 the research group has found that younger generations approach the bible with a lot of skepticism. Young people have a greater need to question authority in all aspects of life with the Bible included.  David Kinnaman, the Barna Group presidents says that the younger generation’s reliance on social networking and interpersonal relationships may be an indication of them furthering themselves from the Bible.
