Apostle Dr. James Lemuel Spence
Anointed from birth, cultivated by destiny and positioned for purpose. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God” (Psalms 42:1). These words capture the true heart and
pursuit of the Apostolic Oil of Dr. J. Lemuel Spence.He was raised in a powerful Christian home and nurtured under the ordained Apostleship of the late Bishop Dr. Monroe R. Saunders, Sr. His academic career began in the Baltimore City Public School System in the State of Maryland. He received his Baccalaureate Degrees in Management, Psychology and Communications from The University of Baltimore College of Law and Liberal Arts. He earned his Masters of Divinity from The Logos Christian College and later he attended The Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary (Tampa, Florida); where he earned his Doctorate in Religious Philosophy.
In June 1998, Apostle Dr. James L. Spence founded Word Harvest International Fellowship of Churches, Inc. where he serves as the Presiding Prelate. He is the Senior Pastor of Word Empowerment Church (“WE Church”), one church 2 locations in the City of Durham and Raleigh, NC, a thriving and vibrant ministry of fresh oil – where “WE” Evangelize, “WE” Educate, and “WE” Empower. WE Church is “The Place Where It All Comes Together.”
Dr. Spence is the Author of two dynamic books “Groomed for Destiny”: This is My Moment!” and “Handling The Destiny Cut”.
Dr. Spence is a Husband, Father, Preacher, Teacher, Counselor, Pastor, Leader, Motivator, Powerful & Anointed Man of God. Dr. Spence is a devoted husband to his lovely bride, Lady Suzette Spence. Together they proudly share six wonderful children. Dr. Spence and Lady Suzette live by the great creed that, “Power Belongs to God.” Join them as they lead us beyond history and into destiny!
