Officers discovered 40-year-old Larry Alford, and 34-year-old Brenda Whitaker, both of Durham, after police were called to the 100 block of Lodge Street just before 12:30 a.m. after the car crashed into a van.
Officers are investigating the deaths of the two victims this morning.
