Monday afternoon a man was found dead in a parking lot in Efland. The person described as a young man had been shot shot several times beside Efland Cheeks Elementary School.Official’s received a call at 2:38 p.m. saying there was a dead body found on the ground near the rear of a white car in the parking lot of the Efland-Cheeks Community Center.
Official’s said the shooting did not appear random and has been called a homicide. Deputies were seen with crime scene tape rear the crime scene, which is adjacent to Efland Cheeks Elementary School. Sheriff Blackwood is looking for help, if you have any information call 919-245-2900.
