Jared Brown, 17, and his younger brother Jaison Brown, 15, both died Friday after being involved in a car crash on a Georgia highway, reports AJC.com.

Jared, a senior, soccer player at Dacula High School in Gwinett County, Ga., was pronounced dead shortly after his Honda Accord collided with a PT Cruiser. Jaison, a junior, soccer player at Dacula, was placed on a ventilator and underwent surgery, but was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

According the AJC, Jaison was “put back on a ventilator to await the arrival of another older brother living in Orlando and so the family could prepare their youngest son’s body to be used for organ donation, according to family pastor Kevin Harris of the Lawrenceville Church of God.”

The brothers who wore numbers 16 and 17 on the Dacula High varsity soccer team, were beloved by the community and friends took to social media to express their grief.

In an exclusive interview with WSB-TV, Paul Brown, Jason’s and Jared’s father, said that Jared had received his driver’s license last June and had driven the same route to school since February. Investigators are still investigating the crash to determine what exactly happened when Jared turned left into the path of the PT Cruiser.

While evidence is being collected, Paul Brown said that the house where the extremely close brothers lived is forever changed.

“They were really good kids,” said Paul Brown. “They made us proud, they did well in school, well in sports and they were kind of like child mentors to their classmates.”

Paul Brown said Jared Brown excelled academically and wanted to become an engineer, while Jaison hoped to pursue a career in sports medicine.

“They did everything together,” said Paul Brown. “They were inseparable.”

The brothers shared a love for soccer that they picked up from their father, who also used to play. Paul Brown said Jared Brown and Jaison lived with their little sister and their parents inside of a Lawrenceville house that will be drastically different.

“It’s a huge void,” said Paul Brown. “There were five of us in the house, now it’s going to be three. Two empty rooms.”

Over $20,000 has been raised to help the family with funeral expenses for Jared and Jaison. Click here if you want to contribute.
