Our Shepard of Mount Peace Baptist Church is well deserving of the Pastor of the Month. The Rev. J. Vincent Terry,Sr. D.D. is a native of Rockingham N,C. where he grew up in the Pee Dee Ass. At the age of 16 he entered into ministry under the late Rev. Robert T. Gilchrist he also served as an Ass. Minister under the late Rev. Dr. J.H. Ferguson. Pastor Terry was called to pastor at the age 19 at Halifax Baptist Church which is now Mount Peace Baptist Church. Pastor Terry energy is boundless! Pastor Terry delivers 3 services each Sunday to members along with visitors given all the opportunity to receive a word from God. His outreach ministry throughout the state is extraordinary. Many of his members lend their support by traveling with him. Pastor Terry is a family man who still take time to meet with people one on one when needed. He ha supportive wife and family who assist in his ministry both in and away from Mount Peace.He is True and devoted man of God
