According to Baltimore police, three people have been fatally shot and another injured near the University of Maryland’s Baltimore, campus.
Detective Rashawn Strong released a statement early Wednesday in which he said that Tuesday night officers responded to a shooting reported in a residential neighborhood blocks away from the campus near downtown.
Strong says officers found one man who was pronounced dead at the scene and another man and a woman were suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a hospital, where they later died.
Strong says the last victim, a woman who walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound is listed in stable condition.
On the school’s official website a statement was released that said campus police reported that two gunmen in two vans fired into a group of people. There’s no indication that students were involved in the incident.
