For months now the media has been speculating about whether Russell Wilson is dating Ciara. Russell ended those questions on Sunday when he did an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson at San Diego’s Rock Church.
It came as a shocker to the media when Wilson revealed that the coupe has abstained from sex for religious purposes.
“I said to her – and she completely agreed – ‘Can we love each other without that?’ If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody.”
Wilson then joked to the audience that he needed their prayers that the relationship goes well.
For the past few months, Russell and 29 year old Ciara, were seen, holding hands at the White House Dinner in April and visiting Seattle Childrens Hospital together in June. However this interview marks the first time he has confirmed publicly that he and the singer are dating.
Wilson referred to the singer as “everything you could ever want, honestly the most beautiful woman in the world, the most kind person, the most engaging person.”
Russell and Ciara are both believers and followers of Christ, and they both say that religion has played a significant role in helping them overcome the heartache of previous relationships.
Russell said that the knew this this relationship would have purpose:
“I knew that God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me.”
