A Dallas police officer was officially placed on administrative leave after a video went viral showing him aggressively pushing a 14 year old girl in a swim suit to the ground outside a pool and pulling out his gun on other teens.

According to McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley’s statement at a news conference on Sunday the incident started when officers responded to a disturbance call on Friday that involved a group of teenager at a neighborhood pool.

In an earlier statement by the police department it was said that the young people did not live in the area or have permission to be there.  When officers arrived on the scene residents identified the people that were not supposed to be there claiming that they were fighting and refusing to leave.

The video showed the officer pulling the 14 year old bikini-clad girl to the ground then using his knees to pin her face down.  The same police officer also discharged his weapon and pointed it at other teens while using profanity.

The video did raise concerns with the police department and according to their statement an investigation is pending, which is why the officer is on leave at the moment.  As for information about the officer in question, his name was not immediately released and Conley said he didn’t have any information about how long he had been with the force.

Out of the teenagers one man was arrested for interference with the duties of a peace officer and evading arrest, everyone else was released.
