According to multiple media outlets, Google has a big problem on its hands after a Twitter user first posted a screen shot of a disturbing search result on Google Maps. Users of Google Maps are redirected to the White House when they type in variations of the n-word.

A Google spokeswoman released an email statement on the matter which said “Some inappropriate results are surfacing in Google Maps that should not be, and we apologize for any offense this may have caused.”

The cause of the malfunction is unknown, however a search expert by the name of Danny Sullivan gave his opinion to CNNMoney that he thinks it’s most likely due to how Google links certain phrases and terms to locations on the map.

This mistake makes the second major Google Maps issue in the past two months. Googlse says they are working diligently to fix the issue.
