The Light 103.9 Unity In the Community Day (Outdoor Music Festival) is in its 13th year and takes place on Saturday September 6, 2014 at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The event was created in remembrance of 911. Unity In the Community Day recognizes our military and first responders and thanks them for their service to the community.
The event is free and open to the public and features many activities throughout the day. There will be a concert with national and local recording artist, inflatable rides, child ID kits, health screenings, face painting, arts and crafts, Zumba, Yoga and Line dancing demonstrations.
There will also be vendors selling their products as well as food.
We estimate that between 15 to 18 thousand people throughout the day attend the event.
National recording artists that will perform this year include; JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, Jason Nelson, 21:01, Livre, Casey J, Damon, Little, The Brown Boys, Damon Muriel, Dr. Larry D. Reid and the Breakthrough Singers, and Immeasurable.
