Pastor Marie Dukes
Proverbs 31:10 says “Who can find a Virtuous Woman? For her price is far above rubies.” In April 2004, Pastor Marie Dukes was installed as the 2nd Pastor of St. John FWB Church after a unanimous church vote. Prior to the installation, Pastor Dukes was released by her pastor, the late Bishop E.A. Jackson to serve as an assistant to the Founder (the late Dr. K.P. Johnson, wife Mae), those were 17 years of training for greater. Pastor Dukes received her Bachelor of Divinity in 2003 and presently serves on the Ordination Council of the Cape Fear Conference “B” annual conference under the leadership of Dr. D. H. Bell, Annual Bishop. In the community, Pastors Dukes is a Prayer Band Leader of 24 years every Monday night inside her home. Her love for God and her heart of concern for souls keeps her on the battlefield. In earlier years of her ministry a word of prophecy was given to her by the spirit which was not understood for many years. Namely this according to St. John 4:37-38: “And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bewstowed no labour: other men labored, and ye are entered into their labours.” This scripture was fulfilled, came to pass and was finally realized when she was installed as “our pastor,” who has a heart of concern for the souls of mankind. May God continue to bless her to be in his perfect will to do the work of Kingdom Building and a role model of righteous living for others.
