Marilee Jones, former dean of admissions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has resigned after nearly three decades at M.I.T. because she said she did not have a degree and lied about it.
The 55-year old admitted to misrepresenting her educational experiences on several occasions throughout the years.
The admission came on the heals of an investigation into Jones’ background that began after a university dean received information from an unnamed source.
