Duke Energy officials fielded questions yesterday during a public Q&A at a school near the Duke Energy Eden Plant facility in Moncure. The Moncure location is Duke Energy’s largest coal ash facility. The facility was the scene of one the largest toxic waste accidents in US history.

Officials fielded questions about water safety, the integrity of the berms that hold back the water in the ponds, and the future of what is Duke’s oldest coal power plant.
