Family members worry he has missed his medications for high-blood pressure and dementia, the New York Daily News adds. Consequently, they have been posting flyers all over the district with the hopes of locating him.
“We’re all looking forward to the opportunity to see him back,” said son Brian Jones.
“He loves reading newspapers and loves engaging with people,” Jones added, giving extra information about his father. “He would be very willing to connect with people.”
According to reports, Jones is D.C.’s former chief warden and one of the first Black officials in the district’s Department of Corrections. He stands at 5’7″ and was last seen wearing a navy blue windbreaker, navy blue pants, glasses, and a black fedora.
The family is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to his safe return.
