I wonder if you were like me, when going through trials and tribulations that life can serve up, becoming frustrated; all the while not realizing that you are being prepared for greater?  Sometimes feeling like you are playing “whack a mole” at a carnival, every time you successfully, whack a mole down, up pops another.

But when you reach your destination, or even start getting in the vicinity of your success, it becomes clear that everything you went through, every tough situation you endured and remained standing, has prepared you for what God has for you.

Be clear, what is for you is for you!  It matters not what is happening in anyone else’s life, what’s yours, you can count on being yours.  What you are waiting for may not show up when you want it to, or even when you believe it should; however in the final hour after you have been prepared accordingly, you can claim victory.

Jeremiah 12:1-5 is a great example of what I am talking about.  In these verses, we have the chance to peek in at a small segment of people in the tribe of Judah who are upset because they have watched others become free, while they remain in bondage.

Many of us can identify as we have waited on our turn while others have passed us by.  We waited on a promotion on our job, someone else got the position and we may even have lost ours.  We wanted to get married and have a great relationship, while sitting single at someone else’s wedding.  We’ve been flat broke watching others around us vacation, buy cars and houses.  All the while, wondering why not me?

I love Jeremiah 12:5, because it makes a power point that simply says, If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?”
