Our October Pastor of the Month –  Bishop J.P.Swinson

The Bishop James Peter Swinson is a native of Goldsboro North Carolina. He has been preaching and teaching the word for over 40 years. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1970; in which, he became an Ordain Minister of the Word of God in September of 1973. God led Bishop Swinson to Fayetteville North Carolina where he established his own ministry (Highway Holiness Church of Deliverance) in February 1988. On October 26, 2013 he will be celebrating his 25th Pastoral Anniversary Banquet.

Bishop Swinson is a Pastor after God’s own heart. He is a loving, caring, dedicated, supportive and giving person. It is not the size of the congregation or the notoriety of the church that defines an outstanding pastor. It is the pastor’s embodiment of God’s love for us.

He has two programs that assist the needy in the community: The Food Bank Ministry and The Outreach Ministry. The Food Bank Ministry give out boxes of food during the holidays and for emergencies. The Outreach Ministry feed the homeless hot meals, give out clothes, shoes, toys and have back to school and Christmas give-a-way.

Bishop Swinson provides a Ministry of Counseling for anyone that is in need. He personally visits the sick whether at home or in the hospital. He has given away several modular homes and vehicles that he owned to those that were in need. Another charitable contribution he does in the community is volunteering his Limo Services.

Bishop J.P. Swinson is Truly a Man of God! To him, it does not matter if you are a member of his congregation or not. For example, when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, Bishop Swinson took on the responsibility of aiding a family of 24 that was displaced after the hurricane.

His Motto: No One Of Us Is As Powerful As All Of Us!

There is no Greater Pastor in Fayetteville North Carolina that deserves the October Pastor Of The Month than Bishop James Peter Swinson.
