They told us they were going to do this when they came to the Lamplighter awards last year and on Saturday (Apr. 20), after 25yrs Tamela and David Mann renewed their wedding vows. The two were married in 1988 but because of finances weren’t able to have a wedding like they wanted.
Tamela says,“When we got married 25 years ago, we didn’t have enough money for a wedding,” so their pastor married the couple in his study. The two started dating in high school and went on to sing with Kirk Franklin and star in Tyler Perry stage plays and more….
This time around Tamla got her dream wedding, from the dress to the ring, everything was planned to perfection. “We wanted a fairytale wedding, so we picked an enchanted forest theme,” Tamela says.
The ceremony took place in Dallas and David says they couldn’t share too many more details about the ceremony because it was all going to be shown in their upcoming reality show to debut late 2013/early 2014.
