Mario Andretti McNeil is on trial for the murder of Shaniya Davis.  Yesterday prosecutors offered McNeill a plea deal. The deal was life in prison for admitting that he killed Shaniya Davis.  McNeill says he is innocent. McNeill says he took Shaniya to the hotel, but when he left her in the hotel room she was still alive.

McNeill rejected the prosecutors plea deal because he says he is innocent and wants to proceed with the trial. McNeill could get the death penalty if convicted.

The trial is expected to last two months. McNeill is charged with murder, rape and kidnapping.
