No More Unhealthy Food Fundraisers In Wake County Schools

The School Health Advisory Council has recommended to the Wake County School Board Tuesday that it change school policy and ban the sale of unhealthy foods like candy and donuts at school fundraisers and concessions.
While many understand the move for healthy eating they say healthy foods like oranges, grapes and healthy snacks will not sale to help raise money for booster clubs and concessions during sporting events.
