Second District Congresswoman Renee Ellmers introduced last month, the idea of naming the Century Post Office on Fayetteville St. the “Jesse Helms Federal Building and United States Courthouse.”
There are some who don’t think it’s a great idea.

An online petition against the bill has been launched: http://bluenc.com/say-no-naming-federal-building-after-jesse-helms. The petition was launched by left-leaning political group Progress North Carolina, and has already obtained 4,000 signatures.
