The North CarolinaCenter for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert early Monday morning for a 50-year-old Raleigh woman. Wearing a pink shirt and gray jogging pants Tanya Renay McCants was last seen at 3000 New Bern Ave. in Raleigh. McCants is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, she has black medium length hair and brown eyes. McCants is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Wake CountySheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information about McCants’ to please call 919-291-5658. The Silver Alert System was developed in 2007 to quickly notify the public about missing endangered people who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease.
