* NC State fair is underway and will run until Oct. 21
* Gates open 8am until midnight
* Admission: $8 adults, $3 for children 6-12, and free for children under 5 and adults over 65.
* Get in free on Thursday Oct. 18, for Food Lion Hunger Relief Day. Four cans of Food Lioin brand food will get you one free gate admission.
* Tickets for fair rides will cost $1 per ticket.
