Obama arrived at RDU International Airport at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Air Force One. Gov. Bev Perdue and Congressmen David Price and Brad Miller were among those who greeeted him on the airstrip. Congressman G.K. Butterfield was on the plane with Obama.

Obama will speak at around 1:05 p.m. at Carmichael Arena on campus to a crowd expected to be around 7,200 people. Free tickets were given away on a first-come, first-served basis Sunday and Monday.

Students were already filling up the arena by 11 a.m. in anticipation of the speech.
