Tim Tebow drew a crowd of about 15,000 to an outdoor Easter church service Sunday in Georgetown, Texas.
Some say the announcement said that Tebow would preach but it was more of a 30 minute chat session with the NY Jets football quarterback and the Pastor. More than a 100 school buses shuttling people to the sprawling megachurch campus from local shopping centers and the nearby college were amongst the crowd.
Tebow shared his story of faith adding it’s important to be outspoken about faith while admonishing athletes about not being better role models.
He shared that he welcomed the attention on his prayer pose that he does on the field, which the public calls “Tebowing.” He comments, “It’s being talking about” …. “That’s exciting.”
