LeJuene Thompson, a native of NC is no stranger to the gospel music community.  In the mid 80’s she was introduced to the world renowned Pastor John P. Kee.  Pastor Kee took LeJuene under his wings and she began her professional recording career.  In the early 90’s, she was a member of the National Recording group “The Promise” who released a major label album on Word Records.

LeJuene was then blessed to become a member and lead singer with the phenomenal Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City singers.

Along the way, she has also worked with some of the nation’s premier artists such as, Twinkie Clark, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, Shirley Caesar, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Micah Stampley, Anthony Hamilton, Oleta Adams, Queen Latifah, Aaron Neville, Tyler Perry and many others.

LeJuene has also appeared in a number of Gospel Stage plays including “Woman Thou Art Loosed” and “Mama I Want to Sing.”

Years of sowing and patience definitely paid off for LeJuene Thompson.  In 2001, she was blessed to record her first solo project on EMI gospel entitled “Soul Inspiration.  “Soul Inspiration” was nominated for both “Dove” & “Gospel Excellence Awards.”

July of 2008, marked the release of LeJuene Thompson’s long awaited sophomore release, appropriately titled Metamorphosis.”  This project is a gospel music lover’s dream come true. She teamed up with her husband Cedric Thompson Sr., who is a Grammy Award and multiple Stellar award winning, and Dove nominated producer. Metamorphosis was released on their independent label, Le Ce Entertainment and features LeJuene’s 3 sons, Cedric Jr. (who made his debut as a producer), Chris, and Chandler.
