According to the NC employment Security Commission, unemployment in the triangle has dipped slightly. You would think that was somewhat good news but research shows there are fewer jobs and that means fewer people are working. The number of people working statewide actually fell by 1,907 in September. Analysis say it looks more like the unemployment rate dipped because either people stopped looking for work, are no longer receiving jobless benefits or have moved out of state.
