The good people at YouTube have noticed a growing trend in common searches for music videos: gospel.
In the last month, they’ve tracked various gospel performances that have increasingly appeared in their search spikes. And overall, the search for “gospel music” has continued to grow in popularity, actually doubling since 2008.
Kirk Franklin videos, in particular, see a spike on most Sundays.
Southern states have shown the greatest regional interest, while South Africa is the nation with the greatest search interest globally.
