Eunice Johnson, the widow of Ebony founder John Johnson died Sunday of kidney failure.
Ms. Johnson was in her 90s and was to be honored later this month at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for her work in making couture accessible to African-Americans nationwide through the Ebony Fashion Fair. For decades the Ebony Fashion Fair showcased black designers and models.
