A suspect is in the hospital this morning after an 11 hour
standoff which started at 6 yesterday morning, ended at just after 5 yesterday evening. The U.S. Marshals Service attempted to serve a warrant on Robert Looney, when He barricaded himself in the home with his girlfriend. According to Fox 45 in Baltimore, Looney is a suspect in a Baltimore homicide. Authorities said the gunman allowed his hostage to leave the house, and he followed her outside, there he was shot and transported by ambulance to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. A FOX45 spokespersons says Looney did something similar in 2007 when he barricaded himself in a West Baltimore home. He was sentenced to five years in prison in that case and served two.
