Johnston County officials are asking residents to limit their water use after a pipe failure at the county’s water treatment plant. The problem is affecting customers in Clayton, Four Oaks, Princeton and Kenly, as well as customers of Carolina Water Services and Aqua N.C. Customers are asked to suspend all nonessential uses of water until they are notified that the water plant is back in service, which officials say should be 12 to 16 hours. Johnston County Officials say they were installing an elbow joint when the pipe ruptured.
