A majority of Americans recognize Christmas as a Religious holiday. Among those who celebrate Christmas 72% say Jesus was born to a virgin and 81% believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God sent to die for our sins. There are only 20% who celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday. Christians believe it is one of the most important days of the year which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. However, a number of Pastors believe Christians have lost the true meaning of the holiday and need to spend more time and attention to remembering the story of Christ.
