N.C. is in a backlog of current tax return and the company handling it hopes to have the backlog done before Christmas.
However a review show that 7,000 people who didn’t know they had overpaid their taxes are due refunds that add up to $2.3 million dollars. The Revenue Department’s secretary David Hoyle says they hope to pass a legislation next year to return that money. The Revenue plans to pay back the money plus 5 percent interest. About 340 taxpayers would receive less than $100, while 445 would receive more thank @1,000 each.
My question is where do you find out who receives it… I hope it’s me!
