A Vance-Granville Community College basketball player died after collapsing during a home game Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Raymond Dunn collapsed while playing a game against Guilford Technical Community College at the Aycock Recreation Complex in Henderson. Dunn was transported to Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson. His teammates were at the hospital when Dunn was pronounced dead. In January, Dunn was named the Division II player of the week, according to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Web site.
