Raleigh is the 6th most-dangerous metropolitan area in the United States for pedestrians. According to the “Dangerous by Design” report, the Raleigh metro area, which includes Cary, had about two pedestrian deaths per 100,000 people in 07-08. The 4 most dangerous metro areas are: Orlando, Tampa- St. Petersburg, Miami, Jacksonville (all in FLA.) and Memphis ranked 5th.
