John Tedesco was elected Tuesday to District 2 seat on the Wake County Board of Education. His win gives a majority vote that could scrap the district’s diversity policies. Tedesco is in favor of changing the policy in favor of neighborhood schools. Rev. William Barber of the NAACP says moving back to neighborhood school concept is basically re-segregation and is considering legal action if they move to change the policy.
