Some vandals in destroyed a valuable statue of Jesus. A worker of Evergreen Cemetery of Hwy 70 says the incident happened late Saturday or early Sunday. The Italian marble statue was placed in the cemetery in 1963 when the cemetery first opened and is worth more than $20,000.
