Now pegged as one of my all time favorite movies, The Help auditioned some big name actresses that didn't get the role.  See the interview with the one who did.

<p>Now pegged as one of my all time favorite movies, <em>The Help</em> auditioned some big name actresses that didn&#8217;t get the role.  See the interview with the one who did.<span id="more-8842772"></span></p>
<p>Octavia Spencer played an excellent role of Minny, the one who made the pie, but there were a lot of big name people who were being considered.</p>
<p>The 41 year old actress told Anderson Cooper in an interview that she beat out Mo&#8217;Nique, Jennifer Hudson, and Queen Latifah for the role of Minny.</p>
