Melissa Wade “in the water” is a native of North Carolina, where she was born and raised in Rougemont, NC. She is the wife of Darryl Cutler and the mother of two beautiful children – Darius (11) and Matthew (9). She attended the University of Carolina in Chapel Hill where she received her B.A. in communications. She began her radio career at WFXC in 1991 where she was a Morning Show sidekick and news personality. She has also worked with WQOK in Raleigh and WAMO in Pittsburgh, PA as a morning show co-host. Melissa also has a love for the stage and has performed in various plays, and musicals such as “Hair,” “The Odyssey,” “God’s Trombones,” and “Blues,” which was performed at the National Theatre Festival and in N.Y. She has directed her own stage play “Sunday Morning” at various venues. She has Stage Managed the “Paneh Mime Conference 2009,” co-directed “Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child” written my Mildred Summerville (Tall-One), “Butterfly Wings” (written by: Shirrell McNeill) and starred in “Not in this House” by Schelle Holloway. More productions and events are on the way with her own production company “Wade in the Water” productions. Melissa is an ordained Minister and is currently a Youth Pastor at Praise and Deliverance Church in Bahama, NC. She oversees the Arts department which includes: dance, step, mime and drama.
