In anticipation of his “Home For The Holidays” show at the DPAC on December 3rd, Karen chatted with Anthony Hamilton about the love he gets here at home, his Christmas album and the possibility of a gospel album.

How did you choose the songs for the album?
Some of the ones that I love … I felt like people would want to hear me sing. Not the one songs that have been sung to death. I didn’t want to dare do those songs because it wouldn’t be special.
Will we ever get some sort of gospel album out of you?
I may do a gospel [album]. I gotta wait on God to tell me to do a gospel album. He knows when I am ready. Everybody wants you to do it because of the voice, but it’s gotta be the right spirit behind it. I don’t play with that.
