Serena Williams say the comments from the head of the Russian tennis Federation were bullying, sexist and racist.
During a late night TV Show Russian tennis chief Shamil Tarpischev, referred to the Williams sisters as the Williams Brothers and stated they were scary to look at.

Tarpischev says he stated it as a joke since the show he was on was humorous but it wasn’t funny to Serena or the WTA and the USTA (U.S. Tennis Association).
Serena sounded off saying, “I think the WTA did a great job of taking initiative and taking immediate action to his comments. I thought they were very insensitive and extremely sexist as well as racist at the same time,” …. “But the WTA and the USTA (U.S. Tennis Association) did a wonderful job of making sure that — in this day of age, 2014 for someone with his power, it’s really unacceptable to make such bullying remarks.”
